Nuclear War No Later Than September 12, 2006
House of Yahweh: Nuclear Wars Start 'No Later Than September 12, 2006.' The Deadline Passed Unexploded
A House of Yahweh newsletter told readers: 'We must warn the world of nuclear wars that will start no later than September 12, 2006.' In Kenya, a village waited, then laughed.
What was said
“My Dear Friends, We must warn the world of nuclear wars that will start no later than September 12, 2006. You need to take part in this Last Days Work of Yahweh.”
— The House of Yahweh (Abilene, Texas sect; newsletter) · said 2006 · due Tuesday, September 12, 2006
September 12, 2006 passed without a war, nuclear or otherwise. The sect's next idea was a 'nuclear baby' said to have been conceived that day, due June 12, 2007.
The fine print
Quote: House of Yahweh newsletter, excerpted by Paleofuture from a copy found in late August 2006. The newsletter's date isn't given there, so date_made is the year. The BBC reported from Nyandarua, Kenya, where a local branch had predicted the world would end before September 12 and had started building bunkers; when nothing happened, locals 'started laughing'. Paleofuture: the group then claimed a 'nuclear baby was conceived September 12, 2006 and will be born June 12, 2007'. The sect's earlier deadline, the end of the world on September 13, 2000.
