Newspaper item of November 14, 1901, headed 'AS IN THE DAYS OF NOAH. Adam's Posterity Stands on an Ominous Threshold': the physician 'writes to the Evening News that the world may be expected to come to an end next month.' Her letter says the planets were approaching Capricornus: 'It is a sign that will never be witnessed again in the world's history. It will complete the planetary cycle as it was in the days of Noah.' The paper spells her name Annie K. Bailey; some later lists give the Danbury doctor as Annie Keeler. Hedge: 'may be expected'.
